汽車模型的各個部件都是澆鑄出來的，澆鑄就需要金屬模具。汽車模型廠里會有專門的車間生產金屬模具。他們根據石膏的模型，使用機床加工模具。這個車間猶如所有的機械加工廠一樣，一進入就會感到滾滾熱浪，金屬的撞擊聲、旋轉的刀具發出的切削聲不絕于耳。這是一個讓人不愿意多呆的地方，但是工人們依然默默的在自己的崗位上，為每一個精美的車模流著汗水。
